2011 South Essex CTC Easter Cycling Tour

What is it

Over 2011's unseasonably-warm Easter weekend (22nd-25th April), a party of a dozen or so cyclists - South-East Essex members of the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) - embarked on a tour of the New Forest, staying at the YHA's Cottesmore House in Burley. This is my visual record of the tour, which also includes a visit to the Beaulieu Motor Museum and a journey on the Bournemouth-Swanage ferry. Lots of pubs and wildlife, too! Touring by bike is great fun, affordable, environmentally-friendly, fitness-enhancing and frequently socially-rewarding. And as a means of discovering the countryside around you, it's unparalleled! For more details on the CTC, visit www.ctc.org.uk If you happen to be in South-East Essex, and would like to join one of our regular Sunday rides (which start from Wickford's Market Cafe at 0930), check out our website www.essexcycling.co.uk/southeastgroup/index.php We look forward to making your acquaintance!
